    How the scorecard works

    1. Public data only

Medicare (CMS Care Compare) quality and patient-survey ratings, plus Texas HHSC licensing, penalty and closure records.

    2. One clear score

Quality 35%, patient experience 25%, state compliance 25%, years licensed 15%. If Medicare publishes no ratings for an agency, we say “Not enough data yet” instead of guessing.

    3. Rank can't be bought

Agencies can claim their listing for free. Nothing an agency pays for will ever change its score or position.

Important: A score is a starting point, not a recommendation. Always call the agency, ask about staffing and availability, and check with your doctor. This site is not medical or legal advice.
